Dubrovnik Sailing Itinerary

Planning a sailing trip from Dubrovnik? Below are our sample itineraries for a half day, a full day and 1–3 nights on a private sailboat with a local skipper. Only your group is on board, and the route is always adapted to the wind, the sea and what you would like to see. Looking for a skippered yacht charter? These are the same trips.

Overnight Sailing Itinerary (1–3 nights)

More time at sea and a peaceful night aboard. Nights are spent in a harbour or a sheltered bay, chosen to suit the route and the conditions. Sample routes (more on the overnight sailing page):

Overnight in Kobaš

Sail along the Pelješac coastline with stops at quiet bays and swimming spots. Stops can include Koločep and Lopud before the night in Kobaš.

Overnight in Okuklje (Mljet)

The quieter side of the southern Adriatic, with sheltered bays and the nature of Mljet. Possible stops include Šipanska Luka and Saplunara.

Overnight on Šipan or in a sheltered bay

A gentler route closer to Dubrovnik, exploring the Elafiti Islands at your own pace. Stops can include Koločep, Lopud and Šipanska Luka.

Longer routes toward Jakljan, Mljet and Korčula may be possible, depending on the weather and the agreed itinerary.

The islands on the route

  • Koločep – the closest Elafiti island to Dubrovnik, with pine paths, early medieval churches and, on calm days, a swim into the Blue Cave.
  • Lopud – no cars, a waterfront promenade and Šunj, one of the few sandy beaches near Dubrovnik.
  • Šipan – the largest Elafiti island, a good stop for lunch ashore.

Read more in our Elafiti Islands guide and the Koločep island guide.
